OPTIONAL WINTER GARDEN SERVICE

Whole-home pre-filtration in Winter Garden

Whole-home pre-filtration is a treatment stage selected for the incoming water and the equipment it serves. In Winter Garden, the right choice starts with your water source and concern. “Pre-filter” does not automatically mean carbon, and no filter type has been selected for this optional add-on.

Optional upgrade. Quoted separately, not included in the $2,999* softener + RO package.

Sediment and carbon filters do different jobs

A sediment filter captures particles according to its design and rating. It may help reduce grit reaching downstream equipment when particles are present. It does not soften water or broadly remove dissolved chemicals. Cartridge size, micron rating and household flow all affect suitability; choosing a finer filter without checking pressure and flow can create problems.

Activated carbon is a different option, often considered for particular taste or odor concerns. Its documented performance depends on the media, contact time and the substance involved. Chlorine and chloramine treatment are not interchangeable claims. Carbon is not assumed to be part of this offer, and a sediment cartridge is not described as carbon treatment. Confirm the exact media and supported performance before agreement.

Start with your Winter Garden water source

Check the provider on your bill rather than relying on your mailing address. For City of Winter Garden customers, the city’s water-quality report is useful background on utility monitoring. It is not a test of your plumbing, a household sediment measurement or proof that you need additional treatment.

Tell the sales team whether the issue is visible particles, taste, odor or maintenance of existing equipment. A change in water appearance should be discussed with the utility or an appropriate professional rather than simply concealed with a filter. Private wells need a separate discussion of testing and treatment needs. No universal contaminant-removal or health guarantee is made here.

Installation qualification and placement

Our sales team confirms requirements in advance through questions established with our plumbers. Share your water source, existing softener or other treatment, plumbing access, available space and the fixtures you want treated. No separate pre-installation visit is required. Equipment selection may still depend on appropriate water information or testing.

The selected design determines where the filter belongs in the treatment sequence. Review household peak flow, pipe compatibility, pressure loss, shutoff and bypass arrangements, and clearance to change cartridges or service media. Some designs require a drain or power; others do not. Do not assume these connections or additional plumbing work are included before the scope is confirmed.

Pre-filter maintenance: plan for replacement access

Cartridges need replacement and housings need care according to the selected manufacturer’s instructions. A loaded filter may restrict flow; a universal replacement interval is not promised because water conditions and usage differ. Review how to isolate the housing, relieve pressure and obtain compatible parts before purchase.

Media-based filters can have different maintenance and replacement requirements from cartridge filters. Ask about ongoing filter or media cost, any backwash water use, and safe servicing procedures. Keeping up with maintenance matters; a pre-filter is not a fit-and-forget guarantee for downstream equipment.

A separately quoted addition, not part of the base price

Pre-filtration is priced separately and the add-on price is not yet specified. The $2,999* standard-installed package covers the whole-home salt-based softener and under-sink RO at a suitable city-water home, not an unspecified whole-home filter. UV is another separate option and has a different purpose.

Your written quote should identify the filter type, selected model or media, intended performance, installation work and recurring maintenance needs. Review nonstandard work, applicable taxes and warranty terms before agreeing. Winter Garden Water Filtration coordinates equipment and installation with a local plumber. Sending a request does not book an installation or take payment.
